Sept. 8 Stateline Chapter September Meeting
Time: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
This is the annual welcome back cookout after our summer break. Weyerhaeuser will furnish the food but donations will be accepted to go to the Stateline Chapter. There will be no official program, just an opportunity for food and fellowship with other foresters and a chance to see the new Weyerhaeuser office facilities north of Broken Bow. Everyone is encouraged to bring a friend and potential new members or even an old member that needs to be revitalized.

Sept. 14 SE Chapter September Meeting
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The program will be entitled "Meandering rivers in the Mississippi Alluvial Plain: influence on human civilization and forest resource management", presented by Dr. Brian Lockhart of the USDA Forest Service. The meal will start at 6:00 p.m. followed by a brief business meeting and program at 7:00 p.m.

Sept. 24 OFA Banquet and Golf Tournament
The annual golf tournament for Log-a-Load will be at the Idabel, OK Country Club with registration at 11:00 a.m. and tee time set for noon. The annual OFA banquet will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Mary Herron Conference Center at the Museum of the Red River.

Oct. 6 - Oct. 8 70th AFA Annual Meeting

Oct. 17 Oklahoma Division of the OSAF "Walk in the Forest"
Time: 8:00 AM - Noon
Hosted by the Okla. Division of the OSAF and the OSU Dept. of Natural Resource Ecology & Management. There will be 7 stations set up along a half-mile loop of the walking trail at Ardmore Regional Park. Professional foresters & natural resource specialists will share the story of the forest and provide some fascinating activities for folks of all ages. Goals are to help participants gain a better understanding & appreciation of the forest, to learn about trees & forests, and become aware of the diversity of uses, values, goods, & services that trees and forests provide. The cost is FREE and each participant will receive a free water bottle. Snacks, educational brochures, and other giveaways will be available while supplies last.
